Incredibly Underrated

This was one of those albums that made me and my friends stop and say, "Woah, what's this?!" when it first came out. It had the heavyness of thrash, a hint of industrial, and a bridge ot hardcore. A couple years later Helmet would hit the mainstream with Unsung- both bands being from NYC.
While thrash sprung out death-metal, it also "had a baby" with hardcore & industrial. Great album- check it out!

this is one of my favorites from the 90's and it holds up pretty well in my collection today that has had years to progress and contort. this did the same to my mind in highschool. great stuff.

With regards to the thrash/metal genre this album is clearly a masterpiece. All the ingredients are present, melodic riffs with precise timing lend to the desperate vocals proclaiming the meaningless of life. This collection is a benchmark for quality compositional musicanship. Tommy Victor's effortless pinch harmonics and Parsons metronome like rhythmes pound out a desolate vibe that is punctuated with tasteful bass lines that leave one wanting more. Accolades to Prong.
About time !!!!!!!!

I love Prong, and when I saw this album had no review I got mad...Remember Headbangers Ball? There was a part of For Dear Life in the intro that stuck in my head. It was like the Anthem of Headbangers....so that's what got me into Prong. Even there later releases are awesome. This one is obviously faster and less refined- It's a great unique metal album worth owning.
