My English is not good enough to do this album justice. I was stunned back in 1989 and wow stunned again in 2023! Gigantic, Hey, La La Love You and Tame are ones I run on a loop, but the others Debaser and Wave of Mutilation are stunning.

I had been a Pixies fan before Dooliittle, but this is one great album. Played this on cassette more times than I can count during the early 90s. I still love this album after 30 years. One of my favorite Pixies songs is the final song on this album, Gouge Away.

I heard the track “Hey” play on Sirius XMU. Looked everywhere online to just listen to it again and I could not find the same amazing studio version. So I took a virtual trip to iTunes and may have discovered one of the most powerful albums of my life and it’s 3 years older than me. Came looking for “Hey” and also found “Debaser” and “Monkeys gone to Heaven”. Had to grab the whole album!
