  • Exposé Pivots to Girl Group Greatness

This album featuring three "anonymous" singers replacing the original lineup of three "anonymous" singers should NOT have worked. But the second lineup proved themselves to be worthy with Jeanette being a perfect throwback to the orignal sound, Gioia adding powerful vocals and Ann rounding it all out with serrt harmonies. The initial dance hits "You;'re Taking Me" and "Come Go with Me" sound great, but so did the ballads "Let Me Be the One," "Seasons Change" (and my favorite "December"). Beneath the mega bouncy 80s hair is a timeless sound that will never go out of style.

I'm only 18 but I grew up listening to the covergirls and Stevie B on tape. Exposé has always had a spot in my heart, the vocals and the beats..it doesn't get any better then this man. I wish I was born in the 80's this is by far my favorite tape (I drive a old car so I listen to this on tape still) LOL

The 1st time I saw the video for "Come Go With Me", I was hooked and became a fan of Exposé. I also developed quite the crush on Jeanette. So cute and beautiful and I loved her voice. I bought their 1st 2 albums and this one in particular, I wore out. Such a terrific album "Exposure" is. Time passed and I'm ashamed to say Exposé had faded in the past for me til recently when for some reason came back to mind. I've been on quite the Exposé jag recently watching old clips and footage of lots of their current tour performances since they reformed in 2006. They sound as amazing as ever, especially my lovely Jeanette! And that's what made Exposé special. Three talented lead singers (as their liner notes always described them) brought together, naturally forming a cohesive unit. More talented and possessing much more star qualities than the brief "original" line up they replaced. Jeanette, Ann and Gioia are the face and voices of Exposé past, present and future and I recommend this album as well as the rest of their discography. May we someday have the opportunity to hear a new album from them soon.
