Good rhythms but….

Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of Stick Figure but this album does not do it for me. This is one of those albums where he does very little vocals and a lot of beats. Again, the beats are good, but this is similar to buying a soundtrack album or listening to Muzak. If I wanted to spend $12 listening to background music, there are better alternatives. Part of the attraction to Stick Figure for me are his distinct and soothing vocals. This is one of those albums that I will probably download one or two songs and move on.
Why so short?

Although this has become one of my favorite reggae artists, I am disappointed he has fallen into the super short track trend. Seems creativity can’t make it past two minutes anymore. I will STICK to the old albums with the lush six minute soundscapes.

Much of my adventures and life flow along perfectly with the rhythm that Stick Figure (Scott Woodruff) creates on his own and with band mates/collaboration. True appreciation and respect for the artistry and effort made in creating these forth coming beats.
