This song is very alluring...I first heard it from the show "True Blood" and I have to say it goes perfectly with it.
Enjoyable, but you're better off with the album version

Love the version of the song they use for the True Blood opening but this club mix gives a little too much attention to the drums. It starts out at a steady clip, rather than building like the album version, robbing it of some of it's rockabilly charm. If you think it's reminiscent of Chris Isaak's "Baby Did A Bad Thing," I'd guess that's probably because rockabilly is something not often heard on the hot 100. The two songs are stylistically comparable, but not derivative. Jace Everett's done a good thing, only the club mix doesn't really improve on it. Stick with the album version.

I thought that Jace had a great Texas country sound. Like Radney Foster...low and behold he has one of Radneys' songs on his album. Love his style.
what a super hot song, for a super hot HBO

This is one of the best songs I've heard in a while and this isn't even the kind of music i ordinarily listen to. Voice is smooth and sensual and the overall beat alluring - howling well worth it. I do prefer the shorter version used in the show but I truly love True Blood and this song captures well the scent of the show. you're on to something.

I think this song fits "True Blood" perfectly. Very Chris Isaak, but in a dangerous, brooding kind of way.
Cool Song

My first exposure to this song had a visceral effect. Certainly the fact that it is the open song for HBOs "True Blood" series adds to its hypnotic impact. It is direct, sexy and smooth. It is love at first listen and only gets better over time. A must have! Well Done Jace Everett!!
