I was excited about this collection being remastered but the sound just isn't amplified enough. It's incredable how you notice the difference between the Collection II and Best of Both Worlds. I'll just keep with the songs from Best of Both Worlds in my playlists.

Some of you -- as usual -- have no clue what you're talking about. It sounds "low" because, for once, "remastering" isn't overcompressing the levels and crushing them. That is NOT what remastering is.
But some of you keep proving your ignorance.
Disappointed!

I've been waiting a long time for this remastered collection, so I was very excited when this was released. I'll get right to the point. The first two CDs 5150 and OU812 have a slight volume increase from the original but nothing to get excited about. F.U.C.K CD I really didn't hear much improvement. Balance was the worst of the set. My original copy sounds twice as loud compared to this version. It seems like Balance was mastered to the volume of the original two CDs taking it back a notch.
Every song by the best Van Halen in one place

If you don’t already own every Sammy-era Van Halen album, you’ll do well to get Van Halen “The Collection II.” Every studio track from the best iteration of Van Halen in one epic download.

This is not by any range Eddie’s best playing I’d much prefer the in fighting of the Roth ERA as it pushed Eddie to write great Riffs and songs
This is equivalent to Limp Biskit

… that they also release those rare remix songs like Dreams (extended version), Why Can’t This Be Love (extended version), Right Now (single mix and edit versions), Top of the World (karaoke version), etc.
All the songs listed in the Studio Rarities section (except Crossing Over) have been available in iTunes for years so they shouldn't be labelled as rare.
How about a Previously Unreleased section for Live Without A Net?
