This is the fourth one of Nelson Rangell's albums that I've gotten (I also have 'Red', 'Blue' and 'All I Hope For Christmas') and I can't say enough good things about them. The only thing better than listening to his albums is seeing him perform live, which I have had the pleasure of doing several times. The music seems to flow magically from his instruments and you truly get a sense that the musician and the instrument have become one being. If you love jazz, you'll love Nelson.

After all these years and nearly 20 albums Nelson Rangell is still crafting magnificent music. Putting his own spin on a classic and thoughtfully bringing the lost art of paying attention to smooth jazz music. He knows what do. He makes music that HE would appreciate and that's a high mark. "Ali's Moon" is a beautiful love letter to his wife and one that we can share with our own loved ones that make it exquisetly our own. Buy this and see him live.
