This was the music of my childhood. I consider it the Golden Age of Christian music. It may have become more commercially viable as it evolved later and tried harder to compete with secular music, but this was when the songs themselves seemed closer to what it meant to be a Christian. I'm not a Christian anymore, but this was powerful stuff for me back then. Scott Wesley Brown, Don Francisco, 2nd Chapter of Acts, Keith Green....

I sit and listen to Amy and it's like being taken on a ride to my childhood. Now that I head a chance to grow up, the meaning of these songs hit me hard. As I kid, I knew words and melodies but now the truth in the message is stronger. I know that the music of the early 80's and late 70's might sound dated but I miss that innocent, unadulterated sound. It's missing in music today. More music, less message.
