  • A little too much band

Griffin House is a really good singer songwriter and has many 5 star songs out there but on this release he runs into the same problems many other folk/acoustic singers run into and that is more is not always better when it comes to songs. Most people will first hear someone like this playing solo or with just a couple others but for some reason when they go into the studio they put a 5 or 6 piece band playing the songs and the great stories sometimes get lost in the music and production. There are a couple of clunkers on here that just don't work but there are some gems and the final cut Coming Down The Road is classic.

Griffin is from my hometown of Springfield, OH. I'm a musician and singer-songwriter. Griffin House has been a huge influence on my own music. All of his music is terrific, this record is no exception.

This album is a gem. This is exactly why I search deep past the main stream crap to find music like this. I scanned through the album at first. Went to the work shop to let it ride.... It's been playin for a week now. Buy it!
