The high water mark of Canada's East Coast Celtic/folk rennaissance. So much of the scene collapsed in the year or so that followed this release after the local record labels that fostered these artists either went under or were bought by multinationals and shut down that I was surprised to see this in iTunes library. This is a masterful collaboration between some of Canada's then-biggest artists and the legendary masters of Celtic music, the Chieftans. The instrumentals are real floor stompers and along with the Barra MacNeils and Great Big Sea are the stongest cuts on the album. Even Laura Smith's rather monotone "My Bonnie" can't bring me to give this any less than five stars.
