I haven't been much into Tricky's work since Premillennium Tension....yes, I know that was a long time ago. But I still listen when he releases new music, and I was blown away by Council Estate...such a great song, especially for blasting in the car. You can really see the progression of Tricky's music, because you can still hear the slightest hints of his past music, all the way back to Maxinquaye, on this song. Anyway, I was privileged enough to get an advance copy of "Knowle West Boy" (which will be released September 9th in the States) and I can say that in my humble opinion it's his best since the aforementioned "Premillennium Tension." Definitely pick it up when it comes out, Council Estate is just the tip of the iceberg!

Tricky is back with a bang, I have and will rock anything from this guy, a truly unique artist.

I've loved tricky since he came out. He's back on track. All you fools saying slow down and where's the old Tricky... remember how freakin' hard some early tracks were...premillenium tension ring a bell? Come on!!! F$%^ing trip hop is so 15 years ago. Let the man grow up. You losers sound totally old.

this song is awesome! ive always admired Tricky for sticking to his guns and evolving. the new album Knowle West Boy is great as well! its not for those who keep expecting this eclectic artist to create "Maxinquaye 2"!

I agree with Fred...once Tricky started using all real instruments and went guitar-heavy a couple albums ago, its just not his signature melodic and driving beats anymore. Please bring Martina back and slow it down a little! There was a time where I would have bought anything Tricky-related, but I can't even listen to this noise. Disappointing to say the least.

What happened to the Maxinquaye Tricky that was so amazing? That album was so ahead of it's time when it was released in '95. Everything else that he has released I really try to give it a chance, but it just doesn't feel like Tricky anymore. :(
